Rich Harris

Chief Executive Officer

Rich has served in leadership positions as an operator, entrepreneur and investor throughout his career. He has built many successful growth companies spanning a wide range of technologies and industries including software, communications and healthcare. Rich currently serves as a board member or advisor to several technology companies and investment firms. He received an MBA and JD from the University of Maryland, and a BA in Economics from Denison University.

Success stories include:

  • Intelliworks, a SaaS CRM company focused on education (acquired by a division of Daily Mail, LON: DMGT),
  • MDLinx, a digital media company focused on healthcare (acquired by a division of Sony, NYSE: SNE),
  • Telarix, a software company focused on telecommunications (acquired by Brown Brothers Harriman),
  • Cronos Integrated Microsystems, a MEMS company focused on telecommunications (acquired by JDS Uniphase, NASDAQ: JDSU),
  • DCL Medical Laboratories, an anatomic pathology laboratory (acquired by LabCorp, NYSE: LH) and
  • Woodwind Communications, a communications infrastructure company (acquired by Vina Technologies).

Hal Muchnick

Chief Operating Officer

As Chief Operating Officer for Addthis, Hal is responsible for Advertiser and Publisher Solutions, Data Licensing, Business Development, Operations and Marketing. He is instrumental in growing revenue and profit across product lines, and bringing new, innovative solutions to market that deliver value to AddThis customers around the world. Prior to AddThis, Hal served as President of Kontera, a leading content marketing platform where he was responsible for Marketing, Sales, Client Services, Business Development and the Kontera Publisher Network. Previous to Kontera, Hal served as Vice President of Sales and Account Management for DoubleClick and prior to that spent ten years at Experian in various leadership positions helping the company to evolve into a standalone global marketing information services and data company.

Matt Abrams

Chief Technology Officer

Matt leads platform development at AddThis and is responsible for the AddThis network infrastructure. He has been applying his expertise in distributed systems and machine learning to multiple businesses and industries over the past fifteen years. Prior to joining the AddThis team, Matt served as Vice President of Delivery and Chief Architect at Quantum Retail Technology. He holds an MS in Electrical and Computer Systems Engineering from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a BS in Computer Systems Engineering from Union College.

Scott Allan

Chief Marketing Officer

Scott is responsible for public relations and marketing at AddThis. Prior to joining the AddThis team, Scott was Senior Vice President of Global Marketing at Rakuten LinkShare during a time of significant growth where he was responsible for global public relations, corporate marketing, events and sales support. Scott has also held marketing management positions at Quark, EMC and IBM\Lotus. Scott earned his M.B.A. from Boston University and a bachelors degree in finance from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.

Perry Nusbaum

SVP, Sales

Perry brings with him a long and successful track record in digital media and data product sales leadership. Perry most recently was SVP Sales at Aggregate Knowledge where he led all aspects of sales for over four years. Starting from zero, he delivered substantial revenue growth and helped establish Aggregate Knowledge as a leading DMP culminating in Aggregated Knowledge being acquired by Neustar in October 2013. Prior to Aggregate Knowledge, Perry led Eastern US Sales for Specific Media from September, 2004 to February, 2010. Perry was the first hire in the East for Specific and under his guidance grew revenue to $125m with a team of 35 Sales Executives in five offices. Perry graduated from University of Albany with a BA in US History, Albany Law School with a JD and passed the NYS Bar Exam in 1994.

Mike McGowan

SVP, Data Solutions

As Senior Vice President of Data Solutions, Mike oversees the business and strategy for AddThis' data products and services. In this role, he is responsible for the company's relationships with data partners and customers.

Mike brings two decades of diverse experience in building global businesses and has a proven track record in growing digital companies and managing new technologies. He was a Vice President at AOL and AOL Time Warner and a key player on the business development and mergers and acquisitions teams. Mike was also CEO of Message Level, an email security company and a senior executive at Grab Networks and Echo360 where he was responsible for corporate development and legal matters. Mike earned an AB cum laude in Economics from Harvard and a JD cum laude from Georgetown, where he was Articles Editor of the Georgetown Law Journal.

Rich Labarca

Vice President of Product

As Vice President of Product, Rich oversees AddThis' publisher, advertising and data businesses, leading efforts across product strategy and development. He is active in multiple industry working groups such as the Network Advertising Initiative and Interactive Advertising Bureau, incorporating privacy best practices into all AddThis products. Rich has been with AddThis for over seven years, leading the development of mobile, advertising and data products, and establishing major revenue lines. Prior to AddThis, he was co-founder and CTO for two mobile-focused startups building online game and marketing platforms. His history of product development includes computer-assisted surgical systems for hip and knee orthopedic procedures, and he has done extensive research in computer-assisted surgery, synchrotron software for protein crystallography, and mobile robotics. Rich received a BS in Computer Science and MS in Robotics from Carnegie Mellon University.

Charlie Reverte

Vice President of Engineering

Charlie leads the AddThis engineering organization as well as its publisher business. He was a founding engineer at AddThis and has helped it scale from scratch in 2006 to reach 1.7 billion unique users across the web. He also co-authored the OExchange spec for open sharing, which was implemented by Twitter and Google, among others. Charlie studied microprocessors and distributed systems at Carnegie Mellon while sending robots into caves and coal mines. He also developed one of the first augmented reality systems for robotic surgery and ACL reconstruction. After hours, Charlie is hooked on 24-hour endurance car racing and drives for the Clearspring Motor Club.

Board of Directors and Observers

The AddThis Board of Directors is comprised of Philip L. Bronner, Ted Leonsis, Hooman Radfar (chairman and co-founder), Gar Richlin, Tige Savage, Bill Wise and Dom Vonarburg (co-founder).

Observers are Sandy Miller and Ramsey McGrory.


AddThis is privately funded by leading venture firms Institutional Venture Partners, New Enterprise Associates, Novak Biddle Venture Partners, Rho Ventures as well as Internet angels Steve Case, Ron Conway, and Ted Leonsis.
