Retiring the Mobile Toolbar

Wondering where the Mobile Toolbar went? Now instead of being a standalone tool, it’s part of the position options for the Sidebar Share Buttons and the Follow Header.

We recently implemented changes across all of our tools, including making them all mobile responsive. The Mobile Toolbar was the only tool that worked for both sharing and following on mobile devices. With the introduction of mobile responsiveness being part of each tool, you no longer need to activate a separate tool for each.

When you’re configuring any share buttons or follow buttons, simply choose to show or hide on mobile and the tool will respond accordingly. You can even preview how it will look directly in the configurator (see below).

If you had the Mobile Toolbar active on your site already, it will remain active, although it will no longer be editable. However, if you choose to turn off the Mobile Toolbar it will be removed from the dashboard and will no longer be accessible. You will then have to set it up as a mobile position for the Sidebar Share Buttons and the Follow Inline buttons.
