Changing AddThis The Address Book Integration Feature To Opt-In
August 26th, 2009 by Justin Thorp in UpdatesMonths ago, we announced direct integration with Gmail, Yahoo, and Hotmail address books right from the AddThis menu. Based on feedback and testing, we are making this feature opt-in.
You’ll have to use our API to turn it on versus it being on for everyone by default. In addition to making this feature opt-in, we’ll be adding Gmail, Yahoo, and Hotmail as services within the AddThis menu. When you click on those services, a new tab will be popped up in
your browser, and your e-mail service will open up.
We’re expecting this to be released sometime the middle of next month. We just wanted to give everyone a heads up.
