Newsletter Sharing Buttons Back by Popular Demand

Share_EmailTemp_Blue

When we launched the new AddThis Dashboard that lets you manage your tools without constantly changing code, we didn’t realize just how important our Newsletter Sharing buttons were. Good thing all of you are here to remind us!

We heard a ton of comments about how awesome our newsletter sharing buttons are. Many people said that they come back to our site every week to build out links for their email newsletters.

And why not? Email newsletters are a great way to connect with your audience and keep them coming back to your site. Include sharing buttons in your email marketing and you can even reach new users who learn about your site from an email blast.

Grab Newsletter Sharing Buttons now from your AddThis Dashboard.

Thank you for bringing these buttons back trying to find an alternative was becoming a pain >.>..

Do you have plans to ever bring back your other widgets content feed? Or more importantly the welcome bar. That thing was a great idea or some idea such as the share this bar which floats at the bottom of the screen?

Also what about new follow buttons? The header and sidebar follow units are great but they are not very customisable even the custom buttons are not all they are made out to be.. We need a new way to follow people the header was a beautiful idea, however, they all face the fundamental issue of becoming clutter to quickly if you use all of the websites it looks cluttered so the design needs to be reworked. However, what about more sites to follow us on? AddThis has several hundred ways to share your posts however, 13 ways to follow thats not quite right. There are so many websites out there that are not included that could be.

Stumbleupon even has a follow some of the sites that come to mind. App.net, Ask.fm, Blogger even? delicious, deviantart, dribbble, friendfeed, myspace, path, quora, reddit??? slideshare??? twitch????????? vk?? wordpress?? yammer? a newsletter button (Redirects to a newsletter sign up page)

and for the gammers of course raptr and steam lol

But AddThis has all these sharing utilities it is beautifully designed however, the ways to follow us is what you are lacking in. Shares drive instant traffic, but loyal followers are the ones who leave those shares in the first place and are a loyal source of traffic. I am hoping to see more additional follow widgets and follow buttons in the future both free and pro. IF the service keeps improving the way it has then I will have no choice but to pay for the pro version :)

This is great feedback, Scott! To answer your first question, the Welcome Bar is coming soon to the dashboard! No time set yet but we are working on it. :) As for your other question, we do know there are tons of services we could have in the Follow buttons, and we’re adding them gradually. We’ll take your specific service suggestions to the team, though, and we’ll announce when we’ve added new ones. Again, thanks for taking the time to let us know!
