No matter what business you’re in today, almost everyone has a website and a blog. Photography has become one the biggest trends to create an aesthetic design no matter what the context. As a designer, I always try to use photography as much as possible, but I often need more resources than just iStock to create different looks and feels. I’ve come across numerous great resources, but I want to share with you the most hassle-free and free of cost photography resources.
Unsplash is a free photography resource by The Crew. It provides ten high-resolution photos every ten days, free to use anywhere. I’ve used these in presentations, blog images, and on websites.
Gratisography is a straightforward photography resource. It’s hassle-free and offers high-resolution photos for personal and commercial use at no cost. New photos are added weekly. I love it!
Little Visuals is the same idea as the resources above. When you sign up, you get seven hi-res images zipped up in your inbox every seven days. Plus, you’re free to use them anyway you want.
As the name suggests, Death to Stock Photo is trying to get away from typical stock photography. They offer free high-resolution photos every month in their newsletter. The license is pretty easy to understand with no major restrictions. You can go premium for $10/month if you want access to the full library.
So as you can see, there are many more resources out there, but these are some of my favorites. Let us know what you think! Also, feel free to share your own.
P.S. Our main image was from one the resources above. Can you guess which one?
