If you would like to set your AddThis tools to display on only some of your website pages, no problem! There are two ways that you can accomplish this:
- Only place the AddThis code on pages where you would like the tools to appear.
- Place the AddThis code on all pages and use the “Show/Hide on These Pages” setting to control which pages the tools appear on.
The option that you choose just depends on your personal preference and which is easiest based on the platform that your website is built on.
If you would like to control the pages that your AddThis tools appear on through the settings in your AddThis dashboard, here’s how:
How to Access the “Show/Hide on These Pages” Setting
The “Show/Hide on These Pages” option can be found in your tool settings in your AddThis dashboard.
- Log into your AddThis account
- Go to Tools
- Select the tool that you would like to edit
- Go to the last tab in the tool settings, labeled Behavior
How to Add Pages to the “Show/Hide on These Pages” Setting
Add a single page
To add a single page, just enter the URL of the page. URLs must be full URLs (www.addthis.com/page1.html) rather than relative URLs (/page1.html) and include must www. if it is included in the page URL. Note: URLs are case sensitive.
Add multiple pages
To add multiple pages, add the URL of each page and separate by commas. URLs must be full URLs (www.addthis.com/page1.html) rather than relative URLs (/page1.html) and include must www. if it is included in the page URL. Note: URLs are case sensitive.
www.addthis.com, www.addthis.com/page1, www.addthis.com/page2
Bulk add pages
You can use URL patterns to add groups of pages. Use the chart below to understand what URL patterns are accepted and how they work.
