AddThis Share Buttons are now available for AMP! Make it simple for website visitors to share your content with our free social sharing buttons. Allow your visitors to connect directly to 200+ social networks, including Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp, and more.
Follow the steps below to install AddThis Share Buttons on AMP!
Note: Both the Floating and Inline Share Buttons are currently the only tools compatible with AMP. Our team is hard at work developing additional features! Learn more about creating your AMP page here.
Step 1: If you haven’t already, you will need to create an AddThis account at https://www.addthis.com/register
Creating an AddThis account is entirely free and allows you to access our entire suite of website tools as well as our in-depth analytics reports to better understand your site’s social traffic.
Step 2: Go to your dashboard and customize your Share Buttons (AMP currently only supports Floating & Inline Share Buttons).
Step 3: Customize your sharing buttons to your liking, then hit “activate tool”.
This will redirect you to our Get The Code page.
Step 4: Next, simply copy your unique code snippet (on the Get The Code page) and paste it above the closing </head> of the HTML in your website on every page you want AddThis to work.
Step 5: Last but not least, copy and paste the inline code into the body section of your page where you want the share buttons to appear. For the Floating Share Buttons, you can place this code anywhere in the body as it will automatically appear on either the left or right side of your screen, depending on where you’ve set it in the tool’s settings.
And that’s it! You should see the inline share buttons appearing on your page!
